Matches Fashion has been one of my favorite online retailers for years. I love that they carry a lot of my favorite designer brands, and their shipping (from the UK to the US) is fast and reliable. In addition, they always put extra care into packaging each item, so it feels like Christmas every time my Matches Fashion order comes.

In this blog post, in partnership with Matches fashion, I am sharing with you some of my favorite designer pieces that are currently in my closet, my sale picks, and what’s on my wishlist. All are available on the Matches Fashion website and app, so happy shopping.

about Matches Fashion

Matches Fashion is a London-based fashion retailer.

Tom Chapman and Ruth Chapman opened the first Matches Fashion store in Wimbledon Village, London, in 1987, and the online store in 2007.

Paolo de Cesare is the current CEO of Matches Fashion.

Their business operates mainly online and via their 3 stores in London. This summer (2022), I got to stop by the Matches Fashion NYC residency in the Upper East Side and had so much fun.

MY MATCHES FASHION SALE PICKS

I’m eyeing a few pieces from my favorite NYC-based brand Khaite: Caro cardiganLayas V-neck pleated dress, and Danielle dark washed jeans on the Matches Fashion Sale. Khaite is so good at making elevated wardrobe staples with a twist, and I’m a big fan!

This 16Arlington Tauri midi dress is one of the most beautiful dresses I’ve seen, and it’s on sale!

Black strappy heels arethe category I am always on the look out for. Winter is the perfect time to shop for them because they’re usually on sale for such great deals. I have the Jimmy Choo Diosa 85 heels and the Gianvitto Rossi Sylvie 70 heels on my sale wishlist.

This vest from Cawley Studio would make a great layering piece over any type of top all year round, and there’s only one size L left. I also have this gray V-neck cropped sweater from Hommegirls in my wishlist, and size L is the only one available. Lastly, these viral Shon pants from Nili Lotan finally go on sale, and there’s only size 4 US left.

MY MATCHES FASHION WISHLIST

Maison Margiela Tabi boots are hands down my favorite shoe purchase of 2022. The split-toe design is truly an iconic touch, and they’re surprisingly so comfortable. These black Tabi pumps are highly ranked on my list since they’re got a perfect heel height, and the split-toe design (again) is a great twist on the classic ballerina flats.

I love my Acne Studios Musubi midi bag, and the mini size in the color tan would be what I’d go for next! Besides the unique bow design, the Musubi’s leather quality is unlike anything I’ve seen before. It’s lightweight, smooth, yet durable.

Khaite never misses when it comes to knitwear and leather goods. I love how classic these Derby knee-high boots are, and how comfortable and versatile these Arizona boots are. I’m sure everyone has the Scarlet cardigan or the Maddy knit-top with the sweetheart neckline, and so is mine.

If you were to let me pick one brand that I can see my entire closet be filled with, it would 100% be Toteme. This teddy jacket, gathered off-shoulder silk top, striped sweater, and midi dress are some very iconic pieces that I cannot wait to add to my collection one day.

I’m shopping for a pair of chunky (but not too chunky) loafers, and these Saint Laurent look so comfortable, timeless, and chic.

The Row is a no-brainer on this page (if you’re a long-time reader of Style & Senses and/or follow me on Instagram @antrieu). I have these Zip boots in my Matches Fashion wishlist for over a year now. These Mary Jane flats would make the most perfect spring shoes, and this gray Ophelia sweater is my definition of the perfect gray sweater.

MY WARDROBE STAPLES

Ft. items in my closet that are available to shop on Matches Fashion.

I can’t stress enough how cool and timeless this black Isabel Marant Lecce belt is. I’ve had it for a few years now, and I don’t ever see it going out of style. It’s essentially a simple leather piece of leather with a hole where you can loop one end around. I love that it’s adjustable and can actually belt trousers and jeans at the hip or dresses or blazers at the waist. It also comes in the tan/brown color, so why not have both?

If you haven’t heard of Pleats Please (women) or Homme Plisse (men) by Issey Miyake or owned anything from them, then consider this a sign and make these trousers your first purchase. The brand has some amazing history, and I’m a big fan! Read my Pleats Please review and sizing suggestion, HERE!

These grey Frankie Shop Gelso trousers have been on heavy rotation for me since February of 2022. They’ve got the perfect gray color, and the fit is surprisingly flattering. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a pair of pleated high-waisted trousers to add to your wardrobe staples!

These Gucci Brixton loafers would be my #1 recommendation if you’re looking to invest in a pair of slim-fit timeless designer loafers. They’re made from the softest leather and require no break-in period.

The Row Ginza sandals are the first ever The Row item that I own, and I’ve never looked back since. The straps did rub a little bit, but after a few wears, they’re so comfortable! I would absolutely love to own a pair of the Row zip boots and one of their maxi coats. A couple of months ago, I got to go to the Row NYC sample sale and scored a few goodies, peek at my haul, HERE! It was truly the best sample sale I’d been to, so worth the 4 hours wait!

This black chunky beanie from Acne Studios makes a great unisex gift. I love how chunky and warm mine is, and I reach for it almost everyday in the winter.
