I have recently spotted these Darted Twill Trousers on Hannah Desai (Cocobeautea, one of my favorite YouTubers/bloggers, yet another one from the UK.), and I had to immediately place an order on Massimo Dutti. They’re from the Limited Edition Volume I, and there are 2 volumes out now! And I am obsessed with everything in this collection this season.

I’ve founded the almost exact same pair, but slightly different fabric (these are 100% viscose, and mine are viscose/wool mix): HERE

Massimo Dutti has a physical store in New York. I saw the store last time when I was there but did not get a chance to check-in. And I don’t know why it has taken me this long to place an order from them. I remembered signing up for their newsletter last year and then later unsubscribed for some reasons. Their newest collection has definitely caught my eyes, and I’m obsessed with my new pants. They are so good!

About these pants:

They are made in Portugal from 96% viscose and 4% wool. The twill fabric of these pants is heavyweight, perfect for creating structured garments that are perfect for workwear. I’ve got these in the smallest size, and they are a bit loose on me at the waist. I should have added a belt to bring up the proportion, but as you will see in the 3 outfits below I didn’t since I wanted to keep things casual and easy-going. One more complaint is that these pants crease so easily, and it’s annoying to having to steam them every time. Regardless, they are the perfect pleated off-white heavyweight high-waisted tapered leg trousers that have those vintage-inspired IG-favorited elements to them.

I purposely wear these pants with three different types of tops but keep the same minimal accessories like jewelry, bag, and shoes. My main goal is to show you how versatile a piece of clothing item can actually be. I can wear these pants with any tops for any events any time in the day.

LOOK 1: PAIR WITH A CROP TOP

I saw this tiny green halter top from Brandy Melville and picked it up right away. This color of green, light faded pastel sage green, is everywhere this season. Imagine if I paired this outfit with this By Far sage green bag! Knowing that it’s a trendy thing, I wouldn’t want to spend a few hundred dollars but wouldn’t mind paying $14 for this top. I don’t mind having more crop tops like this since the summer season is coming so near. It’s great to just throw on with shorts, skirts, or any pair of denim, really. Plus I love tops that show a bit of skin, perfect for this warmer sunshine weather!

LOOK 2: PAIR WITH A WHITE CREWNECK T-SHIRT

I can literally do so much with just a simple white crewneck T-shirt. Here as you can see, I wore this lookout in the daytime, and the white T-shirt really does the trick: dress down the pants. This Everlane tee was one of the nest 5 white tees featured in my latest Youtube video. You can watch it HERE. I wore this outfit to church and headed to a brunch buffet. These photos were shot at Kubota Garden, a free little public Japanese garden in the Rainier Beach neighborhood south of Seattle.

LOOK 3: PAIR WITH A BODYSUIT

By showing you the other two outfits, you can see the power of just a little black crop top like this one-shoulder top in terms of making it formal and so nighttime appropriate. I put my hair up because it got to the point that it was just too long and difficult to manage. In fact, this outfit was shot before my haircut, so there’s that! Also, don’t hesitate to accessorize your hair with some clips as they’re also seen and sold everywhere this season. Again, this outfit is great for any nighttime event or even date night! It’s a nice switch from your typical dressy attire or dresses.

OUTFIT 3: bodysuit: REFORMATION| all jewelry: MEJURI | trousers: MASSIMO DUTTI | sunglasses: CELINE | mules: JIMMY CHOO | bag: YSL

I hope you’ve enjoyed the three outfits I’ve put together.

Sorry that the pants are no longer available. They are there the last time I checked but were gone the next day. Massimo Dutti did say that they were available on a limited stock, so if you see something in the Limited Edition line GET IT!

Fun Fact Sp: Massimo Dutti is a Sanish clothing brand? When founded in 1985, they were limited to only men’s clothing but expanded to women’s in 2006. It’s a trademark name, not a designer nor a real person’s name, FYI! They are also under the same umbrella as Zara aka Inditex, the biggest fashion group in the world.
