PROS

Beautiful, green-blue pristine lake with plenty of spots to seat. Swimmable. Challenging but fun hike.

Plan for an entire day on trail or at least a 5 hour hike. Bring plenty of food and water.

Plan Ahead

PLAN AHEAD

Eat a light meal the day before. It's a hard incline, so plan your bathroom trips accordingly.

CONS

Steep and easy to get lost since trail is not marked. Extremely popular, so hike early (8 am) or be prepared to share the paths.

Wildlife Safety

Be respectful of wildlife. Do not feed and keep safe distance. Always bring bear spray when hiking in Grand Teton.
