MAINE'S COASTAL drive
Seaside towns, historic lighthouses, fresh seafood, and views of the Atlantic Ocean are what you can expect on the 'Vacationland' state. Let's go for a drive!
1. PORTLAND HEAD LIGHT
Historic and picturesque lighthouse in Cape Elizabeth, south of Maine. Built in 1791, it is the oldest lighthouse in Maine.
2. EVENTIDE OYSTER CO
Located in Portland. Don't forget to visit Old Port for the cobblestone streets, historic buildings, charming boutiques, trendy restaurants, and fishing piers.
3. FIVE ISLAND LOBSTER CO.
Located in Georgetown, 45-minute away from busy Portland. Enjoy a lobster lunch or dinner on a working wharf overlooking a stunning coastline.
4. PEMAQUID POINT LIGHThouse
Located in the town of Bristol, it's amazing at sunset. By popular votes, the lighthouse was chosen to be featured on the Maine quarter and background in Windows 7.
5. mcloons lobster shack
Located on a working lobster wharf in South Thomaston, Maine's mid-coast. It's an experience because you can watch the lobsters harvesting here.
