FLUSHING'S CHINATOWN
A trip to Flushing in Queens, New York City, can feel like a trip through Asia. Food here is more vibrant, diverse, and much better than Manhattan's Chinatown.
LEGEND CHICKEN
Taiwanese. The best Popcorn Chicken in the area, chewy meat and the seasoning is addicting. Small menu and small shop with no seating available.
1
JOE'S STEAM RICE ROLL
Cantonese. These thin rice rolls are made from rice batter filled with pork, beef, shrimp, or vegetables and seasoned with light soy sauce. Great as mid-day snack.
2
HAIDILAO HOTPOT
One of the most beloved spots for hotpot lovers. Attentive service, fresh ingredients, and amazing flavors. I'd recommend the tomato and pork bone broth.
3
NAN XIANG XIAO LONG BAO
Rich and juicy soup dumplings with so many filling options to choose from. What not to love?
4
Cantonese. Huge established restaurant with classic dim sum menu. Great prices and portions for the quality!
5
XI'AN FAMOUS FOODS
Chinese. Local counter-service chain that serves hand-pulled noodles. Must try is the Spicy Cumin Lamb!
6
BOBA DESSERTS
Song Tea, Chun Yang Tea, Coco, and Xing Fu Tang (must try: brown sugar boba soft serve).
7
CROFFLE HOUSE
Cafe with delicious baked goods located in Koreantown in Flushing with indoor and outdoor seating. Must tries include croffles and mochi donuts.
8
MAXI'S NOODLE
Cantonese. Known for shrimp wontons and beef stew noodle soups. Delicious broth. Casual setting. Cash only.
9
THE DOLAR SHOP
Chinese. Another great hotpot spot with high quality ingredients, great atmosphere, and attentive service. Reservation is highly encouraged!
